Grants and Scholarships

The Chair in Bahā’ī Studies at the Hebrew University grants scholarships to honored students who will be accepted to the undergraduate program in Bahā’ī Studies.

The study program focuses on the history of the Baha'i Faith and its teachings in the context of comparative religion, classical philosophy, and the history of Iran in the nineteenth century. It also includes the study of the Persian language.

The program provides exposure to a unique field of study and allows the student to come into contact with the some of the leading researchers in Israel and the world, and with representatives of the Bahā’ī World Centre in Haifa.

Admission to the program is conditional on an average of 90 for the first year in the Department of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies or in the Department of Comparative Religion, as well as a personal interview.

Those accepted will be awarded a generous scholarship amounting to half of the university tuition fee.
