  • Lincoln book cover

Abstract:

This book is an exploration of ‘Abdu’l-Bahā ‘Abbās’ half-century in the Middle East with a focus on his social contacts, friendships and partnerships with leading figures, as well as the themes he engaged in his published works, talks and correspondence.  The book traces some of his initiatives in education, agriculture and community life and the global growth of the Baha’i Faith during his 29-year ministry. In so doing, the book weaves the experience of the region’s early Bahā’ī community back into the historical tapestry of the late Ottoman period.
